Client – Manufacturer of Water Meters in SE Wisconsin
Solution – We wanted to send something in the mail that was dimensional and get their attention. Then, when a distributor called the Water Utility Manager, they would pick up the phone and remember this mailing from the client. We chose to do a View Finder (the one you had as a kid) that showed 8 different images of products and solutions they offer to attack this problem for Water Utilities. The goal was to set up an appointment then with the Water Utility Manager to discuss working together with my client. Viewfinder was placed inside a custom box with an insert at the top that introduced the client to them. First they would see opening the box was the insert and then the Viewfinder.
Challenge – What to send to Water Utility managers across the country that they want to have a conversation about where is their water going? Every municipality has leaks and issues within their water system. What if there was a way to monitor that and then focus on solutions to help fix issues?
Result – The client received great feedback and even had Water Utility Managers calling them to setup a time to talk. That usually doesn’t happen with this crowd. Overall, out of about 500-500 sent out, they had close to a 15-20% response rate or close to 100 contacts with these managers. That’s a great result!!
Client- Financial Instituion
Challenge – One of our financial institution clients was looking for a nice gift that could be mailed to their clients if they sign up for a new debit card called “E”. This card gave the member exclusive rewards for using the card so this gift was onlyy going to a few thousand customers. We were tasked with developing a customized box that could fit a wireless charger for these clients as a gift, but make it small enough to mail on its own for minimal postage.
Solution – In conjunction with the clients design team, we developed a customized box solution that had a tray for the charger to sit in and the cord would fit underneath. The box itself was custom and printed all black with soft touch lamination. The soft touch addition posed some challenges as well, but we got everything to fit nicely and then shrink wrapped the box overall so it mailed without being damaged in the mail. Between construction of the box and fulfillment, this was a good project that we were able to find a solution for.
Results – After we mailed to the list, the client was pleasantly surprised with the great feedback from these exclusive members. They all lover their charger gift and gave positive feedback to the credit union letting them know they appreciated the surprise and follow up for their membership.
Challenge – Client was having their Annual Conference with attendees being VIRTUAL since it was during Covid in 2020. All the goods for the event had to be kitted and put into a custom box that could be shipped all over the country and delivered in time for the event. This created a challenge in itself because the shipping companies (Fed Ex and UPS) were strained with their workforce and load of shipments during Covid.
Solution – We worked with the client to create an Event Gift Box that was meant to make their VIRTUAL experience as relaxing and fun as possible. The kit included 7 small bags of snacks that could be eaten over the 2 day event. It also included a pair of comfy socks, ceramic mug for drinking coffee, microfiber cloth for cleaning phones and other devices being used for the event and a USB cord that was 6 ft. long to help with access to plugging in a device if needed. All of these items were kitted in a Custom 12 x 8 x 4” box that was printed BOTH sides to make it easier for the client to NOT have to put an insert sheet in the box itself. The instructions for the event were printed on the inside of the lid where it would be seen immediately upon opening .
Results – The client loved the results of the goods and the presentation of the packaging. All of the boxes delivered in time and we didn’t have any breakage that they were notified of considering we sent a ceramic mug all over the country. The event went well and they had great feedback on the giveaways from the attendees.
Challenge – Our client was doing a virtual tradeshow for their clients with a session that included a bartender showing the customers how to make an old fashioned drink at home. They wanted each of their clients to have all the “fixings” to be able to do this at home during the event.
Solution – Proforma helped procure a nice cocktail glass set along with local bitters and the fruit needed to muddle the old fashioned while they were at home watching. In addition to the glasses, bitters and dried fruit, we also included a branded muddler and spoon. The only thing the client needed was brandy or whiskey and their mixer (Sprite or Squirt) to make the perfect old fashioned.
Result – The client was extremely pleased with how the kit turned out and Proforma delivered 100’s of the kits around the country in time and undamaged. The event went well and they received some great feedback from the clients on the gift.
